Turkey's agricultural input price index soars to 80.99% annually

Agriculture-IPI (2015=100) increased by 16.69% compared to previous month, increased by 28.50% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 80.99% compared to same month of the previous year and increased by 36.85% compared to twelve months moving averages, in February 2022.

Monthly changes by main groups, goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 9.60% and goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 17.69%. The goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 47.24% and the goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 86.59% compared to same month of the previous year.

Compared to general Agricultural-IPI, lower annual change observed in 4 subgroups while 7 subgroups were higher

Subgroups that indicated low increase were veterinary expenses with 23.88% and materials with 27.91%. On the other hand, fertilizer and soil improvers with 138.11% and energy; lubricants with 121.77% were the subgroups that high annual increase realized.

Compared to general Agricultural-IPI, lower monthly change observed in 8 subgroups while 3 subgroups were higher

Maintenance of materials with 3.62% and other goods and services with 5.50% were subgroups that indicated low monthly increase. On the other hand, plant protection and pesticides with 32.75% and animal feeding stuffs with 31.15% were the subgroups which high monthly increase realized. Fertilizer and soil improvers with 0.41% and veterinary expenses with 0.21% were the subgroups that monthly decrease observed.
